DEXA 2012 First International Workshop on

Mobile Services (and beyond)

Vienna, Austria, September 3 - 7, 2012

Workshop Web Site:

Aim and Scope

Mobile Devices have become pervasive in the day by day life. Cheap wireless internet connections permit to develop an incredible variety of mew applications and services, as well as to interpret in a different way traditional ones. The workshop aims at attracting papers that describe novel research works on the design and development of mobile services, intended in the broadest sense.

Contributions from several research and technology areas  can be useful for the development of new mobile service, such as programming techniques, software design and software development tools, data management and databases, information retrieval, soft computing, spatial data management and retrieval (but the list is not limited to them).
Consequently, papers from several research areas are welcome and encouraged.

The topics of the Workshop include, but are not limited to, the followings. We encourage both theoretical papers and papers that present practical experiences and systems.

·     Architectures and Platforms for Mobile Services

·     Multi-platform applications

·     Context-aware mobile services

·     Social applications and services

·     Web Search and Information Retrieval

·     Geographical search and retrieval for mobile services
